Share more than a room at NYAH. The perfect destination for groups of friends looking for a tropical getaway, Not Your Average Hotel in Key West delivers an exceptionally unique experience. During your stay, you’ll have your own bed and locker but have the opportunity to share a space with up to six of your closest friends. After a day exploring the best activities near our hotel on Duval Street, adjourn to NYAH for a night of poolside Florida cocktails that you can make yourself. While there’s no denying the allure of Key West’s nightlife and bar scene, sometimes it’s nice to be your own mixologist and enjoy a few fruity concoctions in a more intimate setting at NYAH.

1. Florida Mojito

There’s nothing quite like a refreshing Florida Mojito after a day of fun in the sun. Muddle lime juice, simple syrup (sugar and honey work as well), and French mint. If you don’t have an actual muddler, consider getting creative with coffee stirrers or other utensils. Then, add your ice, rum, soda, and mix for a tasty poolside treat.

2. Key West Cooler

Combine coconut rum, vodka, cranberry juice, and orange juice into a cocktail shaker and serve over ice. No cocktail shaker, no worries! Spill-proof to-go coffee mugs make for a perfect impromptu shaking mechanism. The Key West Cooler goes great with an orange wedge or maraschino cherries.

3. Hemingway Daiquiri

The Hemingway Daiquiri is the perfect follow-up after a few hours meandering the Hemingway House. Traditionally this recipe doesn’t call for simple syrup, honey, or sugar, but most palettes prefer the additional sweetness. Find some “liquid inspiration” surrounded by a group of your closest friends with a Hemming Daiquiri in hand.

4. Melon Mule

A simple, three-ingredient cocktail, the Melon Mule only requires vodka, ginger beer, and lime wedges. One of the great things about mules is that you can easily supplement a different liquor. Not a fan of vodka? Switch it out for some whiskey or rum, and create a mule suited to your tastes (no copper mugs necessary).

5. The Gator Cocktail

Nothing says “Florida cocktail” quite like The Gator. A unique mix of vodka, orange Gatorade, vanilla simple syrup (feel free to substitute!), and lemon juice, this concoction provides electrolytes and a pleasant buzz. Feel free to experiment with your preferred Gatorade flavors and fruit juice.
